AD/HD is a challenging condition for children and parents. But when the symptoms are obvious, it can be dealt with through proper treatment methods. What happens when the symptoms are largley hidden, however?
This is the case for many girls growing up with AD/HD. According to TheCenter: A Resource for Women and Girls with AD/HD (formerly the National Center for Gender Issues and AD/HD), “AD/HD is often a hidden disorder, ignored or misdiagnosed by the educational and medical communities causing these girls and women to suffer in silence.”
Dr. Nadeau will answer questions relating to this topic and offer helpful advice and strategies for making sure that your girl with AD/HD is not lost in the shuffle and that she receives the treatment needed to succeed.
